How to Confirm the Camera View
In some situations, it may be necessary to verify the camera view captured by the LineVu system. To achieve this, follow the steps below to isolate the gas in the standoff and refocus the camera to confirm the view.
Procedure to Confirm Camera View

| 1 | Notify Process Vision Support about the timing of the valve closure so they can monitor or assist in real time. | - |
| 2 | Close the valve on the standoff and vent the captured gas between the valve and camera.
Note: If venting is not feasible due to hazardous gas, see the alternative method below. | 10 mins |
| 3 | The Process Vision Support team will adjust the focus remotely. You can monitor the view on your local Discovery Unit. The image should now be clear. | 30 mins |
| 4 | Reopen the valve slowly to avoid disturbing the camera with turbulent gas or mist. | 10 mins |
| 5 | Notify Process Vision Support again to refocus the camera on the pipeline floor and resume normal operations. | - |
Alternative Method: When Venting Is Not Feasible
If venting is not possible due to hazardous gas conditions:
- Isolate the gas and allow time for the mist to naturally settle on the pipe wall.
- This passive method may clear the camera view without venting.
- Inform Process Vision Support to discuss the situation and next steps.
