How to Export Video from the LineVu System - Offline
Scope
This guide demonstrates how to export a video from the Discovery Unit
General Instructions
Video
You should have a live stream of the camera from {Camera Monitor} tab
Launch Milestone XProtect Smart Client application from the Desktop shortcut or start menu.
Select {Exports} tab
Select {Add item..} drop down menu under Export list
Select the camera ( in this case would be Camera 1)
Limit video exports to a maximum of 10 minutes to manage file size efficiently. A 10-minute export at full 1080p resolution typically produces a file of approximately 2 GB.
Set date and time (Start to End time)
For the latest version of Milestone XProtect, the format selection will be as shown below. Please select the highlighted option for MKV format.
Available export option;
Export as XProtect format
Export as XProtect format
Export as a media player format
Export as still images
Select the method of export in the check box option below (You can select more than one method at a time)
Select {Create export}
Set Export name and destination
Select Export and that will export the file to the destination you have set
