Process Vision Portal : Understanding LineVu Videos

Scope

This diagram will cover key parameters and technical details related to the operation of the LineVu system. This includes the measurement of atmospheric pressure in the pipeline, the date and time of video recordings, and the location and serial number of the LineVu device. It will also provide details on image frames speed, and camera temperature (Measured in Celsius). Additionally, the functionality of the central processing unit (CPU) and printed circuit board (PCB) temperatures will be discussed, along with heatsink temperature, liquid lenses brightness levels, and LED brightness light levels. These parameters collectively help monitor and analyse the performance of the LineVu system in real-time applications.

ABBREVIATIONS

  1. MC Measured in Celsius
  2. MB Measured in Millibar
  3. PCB Printed Circuit Board
  4. CPU Central Processing Unit
  5. FPS Frames Per Second

General information

The date and time of the recording: This shows the year, month, day, hour, minutes and seconds of the recording and or livestream

Location of the LineVu: This is typically the city/town the LineVu is installed

Device Serial Number: Each LineVu device has a unique serial number for identification and asset management

Livestream is usually set to 30FPS:  The livestream is set to 30 frames per second (fps) because this frame rate provides a good balance between smooth motion and manageable file sizes, making it suitable for both standard video playback and broadcasting.

Camera Temperature (MC): A temperature sensor (MC) is installed with the LineVu camera to measure the heat emitted when active.

Central Processing Unit (MC): The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is a component of a LineVu that performs most processing tasks by executing instructions from software and controlling other hardware components.

Printed Circuit Board Temperature (MC):  The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is a flat board that electrically connects and supports electronic components using conductive pathways. A thermal sensor is installed in the LineVu to measure the temperature of the PCB which is then projected on the video for analysis.

Heatsink Temperature (MC): The heatsink is a device that absorbs and dissipates heat from electronic components in the LineVu, such as the CPU, to prevent overheating and maintain optimal performance. A heatsink temperature sensor (Measuring unit in Celsius) has been installed in the LineVu to measure the base temperature of the heatsink.

Liquid Lenses Brightness Level (0 - 255):  The liquid lens in the LineVu is an optical device that uses a liquid with variable curvature to adjust focus, allowing for dynamic changes in focal length and improved image quality.

LED 1 & 2 Brightness Light Level (Between 0 - 255):  By installing two LEDs in the LineVu, we can obtain effective light feedback within the pipelines. The light level 0 means darkness and 255 means bright light. The micro:bit measures the light around it by using some of the LEDs on the LED Screen.

Atmospheric pressure (MB): The Atmospheric pressure is the force exerted by the weight of the air/gas in the pipeline. This is measured in Millibar
