How To Register Your LineVu Portal User Profile

Scope

This document outlines the process for setting up a user profile on the portal, including required details, authentication, and access control.

Whats is a User?
A user is an individual that interacts with an account in the portal 

Process Vision Engineers create profile upon receiving the user’s title, full name, job title, location, and time zone. A registration link is then sent via email for sign-up. Each account allows up to five users, with only admin user able to add more.

Users must create a secure password and verify their email with a confirmation code. Two-factor authentication (2FA) via Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator is required. After setup, users are redirected to the login page, where they must accept the Terms and Conditions before proceeding.

This process ensures secure access control and authentication integrity.

Steps

For your user profile to be created, our engineers require the following details from you:

Please ensure all details are accurate to facilitate a smooth user profile setup
  1. Title - (this will be your name title eg. Mr, Dr or Sir)
  2. Full Name
  3. Job Title
  4. Location - (this will be where you work or where your primary site is)
  5. Time Zone

User Access Policy

Once an account has been created on the portal by our engineers, it will have a default access limit of five (5) users. Only admin users have the authority to add additional users to the account as needed.
For any modifications to user access beyond the default limit, please ensure that an admin user performs the necessary adjustments. If further assistance is required, please contact support.

 A registration link will be sent to your email, prompting you to complete the sign-up process. 





On the setup welcome page, please open and read the Terms and Conditions carefully. Once you have understood them, tick the required checkboxes to confirm your agreement, then select "Continue" to proceed.


On this page, your email address will be pre-filled. However, you will need to enter your password. Ensure your password meets the following requirements:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • Contains both uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Includes at least one number
  • Includes at least one special character

Once you have entered a valid password, select "Continue".

You will then receive an email with a confirmation code. Enter the code in the designated field and select "Continue" to complete the verification process.


On the next page, select the "Skip" option to proceed.

You can add users to the portal after successfully logging in.

On the next page, you will need to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) using either Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

  1. Choose your preferred authenticator app (Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan the QR code or enter the setup key in the app.
  3. Once the authenticator is set up, input the generated code in the provided field.
  4. Select "Confirm" to complete the setup.
Microsoft Authenticator

Step 1
Select either the plus (+) icon or the QR code icon to add a new account.

Selecting the QR code icon will take you straight to the QR code scanner.

Select work or school account 

This will present the options to Sign in or Scan QR code

Scan the QR code or input the code manually






After successful verification, you will be redirected to the login page for the portal.
